Kacey Musgraves and Noah Kahan are teaming up to release a new duet rendition of Kahan’s “She Calls Me Back” on Friday (Oct. 6).

Kahan revealed the upcoming collab through a social media post that included a voicemessage from Musgraves saying, “Hi, you’ve reached the voicemail box of Kacey Musgraves and Noah Kahan. We’ll call you back Oct. 6.”
“She Calls Me Back” was originally included on Kahan’s 2022 album, Stick Season. The album rose to No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in June. Kahan also reached No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 with the Post Malone collaboration “Dial Drunk” earlier this year.
“It’s been an unbelievable few months, year-and-a-half now,” Kahan recently told Billboard News. “This whirlwind of attention and this wonderful outpouring of love from fans.”
Since releasing her most recent album, 2021’s Star-Crossed, Musgraves was featured on Cuco’s “Sitting in the Corner,” which also features Adriel Favela.
In a way, this new collab marks a full-circle moment, given that Musgraves and Kahan each recently dispatched duets with singer-songwriter Zach Bryan.
Musgraves’ Bryan collaboration, “I Remember Everything,” debuted atop the Hot 100, notching the first Hot 100 chart-topper for each artist. The song was part of Bryan’s self-titled album, which debuted atop the Billboard 200.
The self-titled album also featured collabs with The War and Treaty, Sierra Ferrell and The Lumineers. Soon after that release, Bryan issued a surprise EP, Boys of Faith, which featured the Kahan collaboration “Sarah’s Place,” as well as the Bon Iver duet “Boys of Faith.”
