There will be more murders in the building. Hulu announced on Tuesday (Oct. 3) that it has renewed its fan-favorite comedy series Only Murders in the Building. The latest pick-up for the show co-starring Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short came on the same day that the streamer dropped the season three finale.

The news came in a post on X (formerly Twitter) in which the three principles are pictured smiling at the camera under a “Season 4” banner, with the caption, “Only Murders in the Building is returning for Season 4! The trio’s journey is far from over.”

The series centers on three curious neighbors who live in a New York apartment building teaming up in season one to record a true crime podcast about the murder of another resident, Tim Kono. Playing off the witty rapport between real-life touring partners and fellow comedians Martin (who plays unlucky in love Charles Haden-Savage) and Short (who portrays struggling theater director Oliver Putnam), the series has followed the duo as they teamed up with Gomez’s Mabel Mora to investigate another killing in season two — of the president of the building’s board, Bunny Folger — and a third in the just-completed season of Broadway actor Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd).

The third season also added Oscar-winner Meryl Street to the cast as Glenroy’s struggling actress cast mate, Loretta Durkin. According to Variety, Only Murders is Hulu’s most-watched original comedy series to date, with the third season putting up the most-watched premiere day of any Hulu scripted original so far this year.
